Personal Introduction

Self Introduction

I was raised in New York City. I am the oldest of five siblings. So from a young age, I grew up helping my parents run their first business. This instilled me with a high sense of responsibility as I grew. While in school, I enjoyed teamwork and teaching things. I was on the Soccer team in the summer, the indoor track team in the winter, and the Cheerleading squad all year round. In college I was on the Judo team, and eventually became the club president. I lead club projects, secured money for tournaments and represented the club on the student council. I have always filled my time with many activities and responsibility. Therefore I became very good at workload management, operating under pressure.

Growth and Development

I was always interested in teaching, and literature. Therefore, I began my degree in English literature. Along the way, I discovered my lack of discipline and need for growth to succeed in graduating with a good G.P.A. I wanted the time to ascertain, and be sure of my future goals as a writer and educator. So, I enrolled into the U.S Airforce, and passed the examinations required for the Medical Technician training position. During my time there, I became disciplined, hardworking, patient, and developed much better communication skills. I learned how to be a subordinate, and a partner and a leader during my time. Do to a health impairment, my time was cut short, and I returned to the University life with much more skills for the school and work force. With those new developments and transformations, I secured my first job as a writing staff member for the online magazine

Career Development

From a young age, I was interested in literature, writing and teaching. I helped younger children with english homework, and helped them prepare for exams as a volunteer. In my later years, I began my first internship with the New York Times. I received on-site training in photography, editing, and transcribing speech for interview. I spent in class training for interviewing techniques, and co-wrote 3 articles for publication. I conducted 2 video interviews and assisted in the editing process. From then on, I found joy in blogging and writing for online publications. I gained a number of followers along the way and was given several opportunities to publish my work on online magazines. The New York, and Post are 2 of the few companies who reached out to publish my writing. I also published outside of the blogging world with a fictional piece at Carvel Literary magazine.

Aside from this, I worked at Daily Media studios as a journalist. I wrote articles for the News newspaper company, editing the articles of interns, and modeled for some of the photoshoots.

With this experience in the field of journalism and editing, I began teaching the Korean and Japanese exchange students at Guam university during my time there. I prepared lesson plans, and taught lessons as a volunteer english teacher.

Meanwhile, I still worked for the University website as a writer, marketer and model.
